1. Introduction

Welcome to EventAfrika. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the EventAfrika platform, including our website, mobile applications, and ticketing infrastructure. By accessing or using EventAfrika, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. For Organizers

2.1 Platform Fees

EventAfrika charges a flat platform fee of 10% on all paid ticket sales. This fee covers payment processing, ticket generation, and platform maintenance. Free events are completely free to host and do not incur any platform fees.

2.2 Payout Terms

Organizers may request a withdrawal of their wallet balance at any time. Withdrawals are subject to manual review by the EventAfrika administration team to prevent fraud and ensure compliance. Approved withdrawals are typically processed to your designated Nigerian bank account within 2-3 business days.

2.3 Prohibited Events

You may not use EventAfrika to host or promote events that:

• Violate local, state, or federal laws of Nigeria.
• Promote violence, hate speech, or discrimination.
• Involve illegal gambling or lotteries.
• Are explicit or pornographic in nature.

3. For Attendees

3.1 Ticket Purchases & Refunds

All ticket sales are final unless an event is officially marked as "Cancelled" by the organizer or EventAfrika administration. If an event is cancelled, attendees will receive a 90% refund directly to their EventAfrika wallet (the 10% platform fee is non-refundable). Wallet funds can be used to purchase tickets for future events.

3.2 QR Codes and Entry

Upon successful payment, a unique QR code ticket will be generated and sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping this QR code secure. Duplicate scans of the same QR code will be rejected at the venue.

4. Privacy Policy

EventAfrika collects personal information (such as your name, email address, and phone number) necessary to process ticket sales and provide support. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your payment information is securely processed by Paystack, and EventAfrika does not store your full credit card details.

We may send you transactional emails (such as tickets and receipts) and occasional promotional emails related to trending events. You may opt out of promotional emails at any time.
